Angie T. Cutlip, M.Ed.

I have always had a love for teaching. I was an A student in school but I worked really hard. Some things came easy and other things not so easy. I have always had a creative mind and loved coming up with new ideas and ways of teaching. During school I had lots of testing anxiety. I truly believe I took my weaknesses and turned them into strengths which have led me to where I am today.  I  knew from a young age that I wanted to be a teacher. I attended UNCW to get my teaching degree. I completed my degree at Tennessee Temple University.

In 1991 I began teaching at Aldert Root Elementary, Classical Magnet School. While teaching at Root I received my Masters of Education  from North Carolina State University in Curriculum and Instruction.   While in graduate school I began to look at different forms of assessment. I fell in love with the WJ-III Tests of Achievement. I knew this was the type of assessment that was geared to the individual.

During the 10 years I taught at Root I saw first hand the challenge of differentiating instruction to meet the vast unique student needs. I knew when my first daughter was born that I wanted to homeschool. While staying at home I developed inservice training for teachers and conducted workshops in the areas of reading, writing, and technology. This opened a door for me and  I began to serve the homeschool community when random homeschool families asked me if I could assess their children. I carefully studied the legal requirements in North Carolina and began ATC Educational Services.

I have  been homeschooling for over 20 years while serving other families. I have a love for others, learning, and teaching. I find great joy in helping families by giving support and affirmation. I live in Wendell, NC with my  husband and daughters. I truly have a passion for helping others and work hard to keep a NO STRESS ASSESS experience for each family, while at the same time providing professional resources, guidance and services.
